HBO Moments

I just ran across this post from The Inspiration Room. It reminded me of a few brief weeks of spring 2011 that I failed to blog about amidst some heavy deadlines and a monster approval process. As I'm currently wishing for an early arrival of spring 2012, why not reminisce!

The coolest image spot to come out of HBO in quite some time is all credited to EP Dan Zibulsky and his uber-fabulous editor, Akiko. What a smash they created with "Here We Come" - killer editing and catchy music by The Willows.

But when your spot is too cool and cutting edge, *sigh*, you make an alternative. This is where I come in. We were tasked with creating a second image piece - an emotional sell - to air in the much-anticipated Game of Thrones premiere break. I sat with Dan for 2 weeks to screen 8 series, 3 films, 3 specials and 2 documentaries, drum up some new music and write copy for what we deemed the  "Moments" image piece. It was our promotional safety net in a crunch.
